Reuben and Friends are delighted to have been able to donate £6000 to Leeds General Infirmary Children's Hospital. This has enabled the purchase of 4 Parent Sleepover Beds.
Reuben and Friends would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has supported us and continues to do so.
Statement from Karen Jeffrey (chairperson)
The team are delighted to be able to continue our mission to provide support to local children with illness. We contributed to the supply of these beds because we have had excellent feedback over the years from our donation towards similar beds at Dewsbury District Hospital’s children's department. The parent beds have been highly requested and are seen as really beneficial to the care of children treated in these hospital departments.
Also we are all pleased that we are able to demonstrate to the local communities that their fundraising efforts and support will bring tangible benefit to local children. This is something we have always committed to do alongside our research into a cure for children with rare blood disorders.

"In October 06, we were pleased to be able to present a cheque to Mike Rchards who is the consultant paediatric haematologist based in St James Hospital, Leeds.
The money was used to purchase two specialist trolleys used for bone marrow aspirations in the children's department."

Karen Jeffery presents a cheque to Jackie Todd in the Children's ward at Dewsbury Hospital.
"In February 2006, thanks to the kind donation by ATA Builders Merchants, we were able to purchase eight carer beds in the Children's Ward at Dewsbury Hospital."
